Migrant Learning Centers
Migrant Learning Centers, which nowadays comprise Kick-Start Art’s flagship project, employs local migrant/refugee artists to execute carefully crafted lessons in a number of partner schools and community centers.
The migrant schools on the Thai-Myanmar border largely exclude art from their often rigid school curriculum, and KSA's projects give students the opportunity to have fun and build confidence through the emphasis on creativity. The students in the learning centers are displaced children from Myanmar with ages between 5 and 19 years old.
Along with the migrant schools, Kick Start Art offers workshops and art classes to various migrant communities along the Thai-Myanmar border that include orphans and ethnic minorities. The children in these communities sometimes don’t have access to any formal education, so KSA’s ability to reach these communities is considered extremely invaluable.

Inclusive Education
For the past two years, KSA has partnered with Star Flower Learning Center, a school for Burmese children with special needs. KSA has designed art classes specifically for this school to show that art is, and should be, inclusive for everyone. Art gives these students a chance to express themselves in ways that words sometimes can't, helping them share their feelings, ideas, and unique personalities. KSA is proud to offer a supportive space where every student can learn, grow, and feel valued.
