Border Projects

Along with the migrant schools, Kick Start Art offers workshops and art classes to various migrant communities along the Thai-Myanmar border that include orphans and ethnic minorities. The children in these communities sometimes don’t have access to any formal education, so KSA’s ability to reach these communities is considered extremely invaluable.

The children living on the border often find themselves between the two systems of migrant communities and Burmese communities. About 30% of the children travel to the Myanmar side of the border to attend school, while the rest either accompany their parents working in rice fields or stay at home. KSA offers these children an opportunity to experience art in ways they've never had before.
