In November 2018, Kick-Start Art formed a collaboration with the Shoklo Malaria Research Unit (SMRU), to deliver art therapy and education to vulnerable groups in the local area, including tuberculosis patients (TB) and pregnant women. 

 

KSA provided monthly workshops to SMRU’s patients, staff members, and their families. These workshops were highly praised, as they provide a temporary mental escape from the difficult circumstances of each patient and their families.

This program was put on pause as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
